As the British computer game scene was on the brink of exploding, a little shop popped up on Carver Street in Sheffield. Aptly named Just Micro, it was created by the dynamic duo of Ian Stewart and Kevin Norburn, both with backgrounds in retail but a fervent desire to delve into the gaming industry. Lucky for them, the store attracted local talent like Pete Harrap, Shaun Hollingworth and Tony Crowther, leading to the formation of Gremlin Graphics in 1984. This luxurious 560-page book follows the journey of the company, from its early hits with Monty Mole, Jack the Nipper and Thing on A Spring, to its groundbreaking racing games under the Lotus brand, and eventual acquisition by Infogrames in 1999. Endorsed by founder Ian Stewart himself, A Gremlin In The Works by Mark Hardisty features interviews and anecdotes from all the key members of Gremlin, including Chris Kerry, Ben Daglish and Greg Holmes, as well
