Super Famicom: The Box Art Collection

Super Famicom: The Box Art Collection

Being a Nintendo fan in the early 90s was no picnic: Europe got the Super Nintendo Entertainment System instead of the Super Famicom (how unfair!), and the release schedule was all messed up. True fans knew the remedy: importing a Japanese console and snagging games on the grey market. Not only did they get to enjoy faster, smoother gameplay on the full screen, but also the Japanese cartridges came in cool portrait-shaped boxes, unlike the boring landscape ones in Europe and North America. Talk about style! The Japanese box art was always a step above the rest, and Bitmap Books is proudly showcasing it in Super Famicom: The Box Art Collection. We're talking about 250 titles, including elusive gems and never-before-seen prints. Super Famicom Guy (aka Stuart Brett) has kindly opened up his collection for our viewing pleasure, complete with life-size box pictures, insightful critiques, and interviews with other collectors who share our love for this unique format.
